Do we try to let old treads die in peace, or what? Looks like October was the last anyone was here. But still, compy games are one of my few fortes (and I'm new here and in a posting mood) so I thought I'd chime in. No, I do not own X-box or PSP2... Just PC games.
First-person shooter (obviously not a very popular genre here): Delta Force: Black Hawk Down; Ghost Recon
Real-Time Stratagy: Command & Conquer Generals; Battle for Middle Earth (I and II); Age of Empires (I and II but not III yet)/Age of Mythology
Puzzle/Adventure: Myst; Riven; Myst III Exile; Myst IV Revelations; Uru - Ages Beyond Myst; Myst V End of Ages
And a whole whack of flight-sims.
Hey, what is the deal with Kingdom Hearts????? I've never played it, but I figure the day Donald Duck starts swinging a katana around is the day I need to retire from compy games, know what I'm sayin'? Maybe those of you who have played it can enlighten me. _________________ Do not botch the clan.

Emm, I played it a little bit, but I got to a hard place and kind of quite playing. I guess we need Phoenix to explain what makes it so fun! _________________ "Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who matter don't mind, and those who mind don't matter."

I like shooty games too. Call of duty 4 is my game of choice lately, but I just started a game called Tropico with an expansion pack. You are a dictator of a tropical island during the cold war era, think Castro and Cuba. You can side with either the US or Russia or toe the middle line and you have control over everything but exactly what an individual does. So you can build factories and farms and set the wage rate and people decide where to work based on that and you also build housing and set the rental price. It's a lot of work for playing a game, but its all worth it if your people love you.

Sure, sure... it all boils down to love, eh?
I only mentioned my favorites up there ^ but I do rather enjoy Jurassic Park: Operation Genisis. Identical to Zoo Tycoon etc. eccept that you breed dinosaurs instead of lemurs and lions. Lots of fun.
See, when a lemur escapes his exhibit, everyone laughs, feeds him some popcorn and hot dogs, darts him, and puts him back in the pen. When a velociraptor or T-rex escapes (or you delete a fence section ), well, lets just say it ends in a lot of screaming and lawsuits. Bwa ha. _________________ Do not botch the clan.

Kingdom Hearts is a game about a boy (Sora) who gets seperated from his two friends (Riku and Kairi) when his island is destroyed by a giant Heartless. The Heartless are creatures of darkness that consume peoples hearts by using the darkness that dwells within hearts. Sora finds himself in a new world and teams up with Donald and Goofy to prevent the Heartless from devouring the hearts of all the worlds by closing the "Door to Darkness".
Then, in Kingdom Hearts 2, Sora, Donald, and Goofy, travel to different worlds in search of King Mickey and Riku (They rescued Kairi in the first game). While they are travelling, they battle against some still remaining Heartless along with a new enemy - The Nobodies. The Nobodies are the creatures that are left whenever a Heartless takes the heart from someones body. Xemnas, the leader of the Nobodies, is trying to take over the world of Kingdom Hearts. Once Sora, Donald, and Goofy are reunited with King Mickey and Riku, they defeat Xemnas and open the "Door to the Light" to defeat all beings of evil.
Now, even though it seems like I've spilt the whole story, I haven't. There is still a LOT of things that I did not tell you about. So you can still play the games with PLENTY of surprises. _________________ "If you could have anything, what would you want?"

Interesting....
So, how do all the Disney characters (like Jack Skelington of all people) fit into the story? They seem like pretty weird ingredients in a completely un-related storyline.
I'm not dissin' the game or anything, I know lots of really cool games that are REALLY hard to explain to other people (like MYST). I'm just saying it makes NO sense to me. _________________ Do not botch the clan.

Well, Sora, Donald, and Goofy have to travel to different Disney worlds in order to stop the Heartless and Nobodies, and to search for their friends. _________________ "If you could have anything, what would you want?"

We have no video game sets with the exception of an "Intelivision" with most of the useful buttons ripped out. (My sister had long nails) _________________ "But you have to be smarter than the watchband..."

Vine-Swinger: Noun. An individual who grabs hold of a vine and swings on it, usually used when no other possibility is available.
Related: Vine-Swinging: Noun. A sport in which an individual grabs hold of a vine and swings as far as possible, usually with the intent of grabbing another vine and repeating said process. The fine art of Vine-Swinging is becoming rarer and rarer as Americans increase in girth, for no one else in the world is stupid enough to look at a vine and say "Let's swing on it!"
Yeah...it was the pixel jungle hunter dude who had to swing across pits and run across quick sand and do stuff. _________________ "But you have to be smarter than the watchband..."
