All right, every Irish Dancer knows this is the WORST part of dance! Everyone's feet are different, and so the sizing charts work for some people and not for others. IT'S SO ANNOYING!
Everyone feel free to ask questions, or to share advice. Good luck! _________________ To err is human, to blame it on the computer is even more so

Em, Just to let everyone know, when you get Hullacans soft shoes, your feet WILL CRAMP at first! This is normal! It takes a while for the shoes to stretch to your foot, but they will! I have crazy feet and they did on me!

Beware the Antonio Pacelli's. They stretch about a size and a half before they even think about stopping. I had the wrap the dang things up my heel because they had become so long, and that also made the leather sole very painful to land on. _________________

Rutherford's stretch a lot too. When I got my hard shoes I could barely stand in them, and now they're perfect. _________________ Vision is the art of seeing things that are invisible.

Also, anyone can tell you that hard shoes are the weirdest feeling shoes in the WORLD!! It's terrible! This is normal, and you will get used to it. _________________ To err is human, to blame it on the computer is even more so

Where is it better to get hard shoes-Rutherford or Corrs? And, do some heels stick out farther than others? _________________ "Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who matter don't mind, and those who mind don't matter."

I like the Corrs shoes because they have padding in them. Rutherfords are pretty good too, but Corrs last longer, I think. _________________ To err is human, to blame it on the computer is even more so

Oh. I haven't been dancing long enough to know diffences between shoes....once I found Rutherfords I liked them and haven't changed. I had gazelle soft shoes once. _________________ Vision is the art of seeing things that are invisible.

I really like my Rutherford's, but Loafie ordered Corrs and they seem pretty nice too. _________________ "Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who matter don't mind, and those who mind don't matter."

Emm to answer your question Heidi, yes! So is Corrs good for ghillies and hard shoes or is one better than the other? _________________ "Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who matter don't mind, and those who mind don't matter."

I like Corrs shoes for both. There ghillies form to your foot (rather than stretching 3 sizes) and the hard shoes are so comfortable and they have the best sound!! I've gotten to the point where I can tell a Rutherford or a Corrs hardshoe just by the sound. Frightening.

That's really cool! I'll have to try Corrs for my next pair of hard shoes! (And unless I get better about not hitting the leather on those double toe things-it might not be long!) _________________ "Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who matter don't mind, and those who mind don't matter."
