ahhh, what do we talk about?

First, I want to say the DVD is great! We love it and what memories it brings back. Looking forward to this year's Celtic Holiday so much. (I am still planning on working backstage.)

Second, I saw a "hobbies" topic on another board, so let's have a roll call of hobbies for parents. I'll start (since I started the thread)....

I am learning to knit (thank you Shawna), and improving on my new found ability to crochet. I love to bake and decorate cakes, I love altered books, but find myself unable to fully participate in this craft/art because I was ingrained with how bad, bad, bad it is to deface books {sigh}, but I am waiting for a stretch of time to alter a suitcase and finish an altered book (for a libraian, no less)... it is a Reader's Digest anthology so it isn't "really" a book.

Outside, I like to read, garden (although I kill anything that can't take care of itself) and travel about. Of course, I love doing it all with my dh, and children.

Hobbies...okay. I like to scrapbook, rubber stamp, read and take pictures. I guess that last one goes without saying, hu? Oh, I also like to go coin shooting/hunting! That's fun. I always hope for some old Indian Head penny or a tin of someones cash they buried long ago and forgot about, but I usually just end up with a penny from 1982 or a water pump from a 65 Mustang or something. So, I haven't yet had much luck with that.

Before I had kids, I used to do cross stitch and tole painting. I once made a bunny cookie jar cover and a casserole holder. Ooooh.

I must have more interests than this, but I can't think of any right now.
